LEgal Clinic

Exclusive Membership Benefit

Any Chamber Member in Good Standing may submit a request to participate in the Black Business Legal Clinic and receive free legal help by submitting this form.

A Chamber Member in Good Standing is a member who pays dues to MBCC and is current on all dues owed to MBCC as of the date of submission.

Once MBCC receives your request for legal services, a representative will review your submission and determine whether or not you are eligible to participate in the Black Business Legal Clinic.

If eligible, MBCC will forward your request to Stafford and an attorney or paralegal will contact you to schedule a brief meeting (typically 30 minutes) either over the phone or at The Black Business Hub to discuss the legal assistance you are seeking.

Please note that you may not receive an immediate response. Black Business Legal Clinic sessions are scheduled at mutually agreeable times, and you may be referred to other programs or resources if the nature of your request is outside Stafford's expertise or if the volume of requests for legal assistance exceeds Stafford's capacity to facilitate the Black Business Legal Clinic.

If you require immediate assistance, you may engage Stafford directly by contacting Attorney Mason A. Higgins (mhiggins@staffordlaw.com) or may seek other counsel through the State Bar of Wisconsin's Lawyer Referral Service.
